Medication Policy
Dear Parents,
As the district nurse I would like to remind everyone that it is district policy that any medications given to students on campus must be administered in the health liaison office of your child's school. Medications can be brought in to the front office, and then office staff will call to have your child come up so that you can give them their medication. If there is no current medical authorization form on file, a parent may bring medications and administer the medication to his/her student in the health office only. The parent must then take the medication home with them, since no medication will be stored in the health office without a current medical authorization form. A parent's designee may give the child medication, if the parent calls the health liaison, and gives a verbal authorization. Thanks everyone, and have a great weekend.
